Answer

A netbook is a small portable laptop computer designed for wireless communication and access to the Internet. Netbooks are sometimes referred to as mini notebooks, mini laptops,  they have filled a gap in the market for small, light and inexpensive laptop computers suited for general computing and accessing web-based applications.

Netbooks tend to come supplied without a CDROM or DVDROM but we are now starting to see some netbooks having these factory fitted. The netbooks come in various sizes but the norm is anything between 7-10 inch screens and come with Windows or Linux based OS.  Netbooks are often referred to as a companion for people on the move.

Netbooks have really taken off and are starting to sales away from laptops due to their portability and battery life.

What does the future hold, smartphones -> smartbooks -> netbooks -> notebooks
