Answer
This all comes down to personal choice in the end. If you are Windows user like the majority of users you will be looking at Windows XP or Windows 7. However if you have any Linux background or want to try something new and faster :-) you may find Linux does exactly what you need. Google Chrome will be introduced to netbooks in the near future, can’t comment on the OS yet, time will tell with that one. Linux is often used at the lower end of the market to keep the cost of the netbook down, however this is not a bad thing and not to be put of by.
